Reactor and camera animation test in 3dsMax9 SP2

In this scene, i played a bit with reactor and camera animation in 3dsMax 9 SP2. I tried to obtain the effect of someone who gets knocked down by a large object and after that has trouble getting up and at the same time, has trouble realizing what the hell happened. It was made about 5-6 months ago, never got the chance to post about it, and it needs some serious tweaking since the camera lifts up a bit to fast from the ground.

Blender Fire and Smoke Effects

Blender Fire and Smoke effects from Florin Mocanu on Vimeo.

I followed the tutorial posted in blenderart magazine, nr. 16 about fire and after that i used that method to make the smoke, with another particle system. Also, i tweaked the compositing for my own needs, since the tutorial gave a way to uniform look on the flames, so i made them stand out a bit more. About 11-12 seconds of rendering time for each frames, 250 frames long.

Hope you enjoy it.

Update 1:

I played a bit more with the settings, especially the smoke, as someone from VA pointed out.

bunny architectural fun :)

So, today i did a couple of architectural exterior renderings as a test for an architect, as a test to show how i can handle exterior renderings.

Nothing fancy for materials. Simple Vray displacement for the grass, some displacement for the pavement, which is a tileable texture made in about 30 minutes of work in Photoshop.

At the end, i changed the lighting a bit and added some character in the scene :). Meet Rabbit, main character in Big Buck Bunny, making some early morning exercises on the fresh cut grass.
I didn't texture him, i just wanted to export the .blend file in a .obj format. And it exported perfectly. And it rendered with no problem as well. Enjoy the bunny powah :)

In short, the house model is not mine, it belongs to the architect to gave me permission to use it, made in Arhicad. The trees are taken from the Evermotion collection, i just don't have the time to model them for some test renders. And it's not productive also.

Lighting test and some of my plans.

This is a lighting test, and also a water shader test done about 5-6 months ago in 3dsMax 9, rendered with MR. I textured just the water and i tried to get a summer hot day atmosphere, which i think i succeeded, though there are things i would improve now.

I hope you enjoy it.

At the moment, i'm quite busy, but probably in 1-2 weeks i will start to work on a proper demo reel, which i don't have right now. I'm still thinking what i would like to emphasize on, but enviroment modelling, texturing, lighting etc. will be the main theme, since i enjoy doing that a lot.
Architectural renderings are something i enjoy working on, but i'm not planning to emphasize that in my future demo reel.

Have fun in this hot summer day .

Some of my architectural work

A couple of weeks ago i finished a interior desing job, for a student in Arts from Iasi. The design is not mine, i just made the previsualisation. Also, for some objects like the stove or refrigerator, i used objects from the Evermotion Collections, to speed up my work. Lighting, Rendering and material setup is all mine though.
These were made with 3dsMax 2008 and rendered with Vray 1.5 RC4 x64.

It was made entirely with Open Source software ( as in free for people new to the concept). I hope everyone enjoys it.
Congratulations to the Blender Foundation team for creating such an amazing short film :)

Fluid sim test nr 3

This is another fluid sim, a bit more complex.

What is lacking is a bit more gravity and a higher simulation resolution. I used a res of 200, but i feel that 300 should have been more apropiate for what i wanted to result. Meh, i can always go back and redo it, so i'll probably come with a new version, with way more complexity and hopefully, realism.
enjoy. If anyone needs the scene or the settings for the sim, just post a comment here.

My first post. Yeyyyy

Even if i'm not usually working with Blender, a couple of days ago i gave it a try and i tested it's fluid simulator. Hope you like it.
